Marc K. Bickham, Ed.D, has more than 20 years of experience in education including leadership roles as Department Chairperson, Small School Facilitator, Assistant Principal, and Principal. He began his career in education teaching culinary arts to inner city high school students. While teaching a college level curriculum within the school program, he formed a job shadowing and work-study program, and was the founder of a student run restaurant that was open to the public which made $2000 profit in its first three months of operation and a catering operation that did events for prominent figures throughout Chicago including the mayor.

Throughout Dr. Bickham’s career he has educated students from grades K-12 in many subject areas, including those with special needs. He has served as Department Chairperson at two high schools, one for the School of Culinary Arts and the other for the Department of Special Education, where he educated students with learning disabilities, behavior disorders, and mental handicaps.

Dr. Bickham earned a bachelor’s in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, a Master’s degree in Multicategorical Special Education from Governors State University, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in North Miami Beach, Florida.
